El Capitan iCloud problem

iСloud login problem in El Capitan? Many users have been in trouble with iCloud after upgrading to OS X 10.11. How to fix if iCloud does not work correctly in El Capitan?

My case was Logging in problem. I faced the problem whenever I attempted to login to my iCloud account through System Preferences or AppStore. It was fucking funny since it went through if I do it in Safari and iTunes.

Of course, when I provide a wrong password, the error says “Password or Apple ID is incorrect”. Weirdly, it says “This action could not be completed. Try again.” when I enter the absolutely right iCloud password.

Another common error should be “this mac can’t connect to iCloud because of a problem with “iCould id”, open iCloud preferences to fix the problem”. Your cases might be different. Whatever the problems are, follow our trick to get rid of trouble.

    Nope neither solutions worked.

  • After weeks searching a solution finally i found it in another forum (i already forgot where) but i just went to Finder, Go, (Press Alt) Library, and drag the “Keychains” folder to desktop (to backup all the files, just in case) and then restart my computer. After that, i just went to preferences and type the password for iCloud and my keychain under iCloud options.

And yes, it’s it. Worked for me, i hope can help you.

Thank you. The problem started after iCloud forced me to change my password. This solution was the only one that made it go away.

    • Worked for me. Thanks!

In My case only way to make it work was:
    in terminal
    sudo mkdir /Users/shared

    sudo chmod 777 /Users/shared
after i created this folder all things seams to be as should be

    • This worked for me. Also cured a warning when each time I opened iTunes that I did not have permission for an operation. Thank you for sharing.

I had been trying so many things and nothing was working, this issue was really frustrating and on the verge of wiping my computer. I tried the terminal commands you recommend and voila, worked!!! Thank you so much for sharing!!!

Tried this and it didn’t work at all.

I wonder if this problem is related to the Keychain and iCloud. I don’t wish to have an distributed Keychain, so I did not enable iCloud Keychain. How about you? Do you use iCloud keychain AND have this issue?
