Read our tip to fix completely if your iMessage has trouble with one contact only. I was able to iMessage to everyone, accept one person, my girl friend. Everything seems to work well from her side. We finally found out the solution.
What really happened?
All messages sent to my wife came to green indicated that they were sent as SMS Text instead of iMessages. From her side, she was able to send and receive iMessages text to the others normally. Almost all texts she sent me were come through iMessages method. When the problem happened, I even was able to text her through iMessage using iMessage App on my Mac. I therefore equated the cause to my iPhone problems.
How to fix if iMessages not working with just one contact?
# What we did? So simple, we just got the both iPhones rebooted by making a long press of the power and home button until the apple logo appears). This worked on me.
# If this does not help, take the following solutions:
Solution 1: Upgrade your iOS if there are any newer iOS versions available.
Solution 2: Not only the number, attempt to add the email address associated with the effected iCloud account into the contact.
# If now the problem still remains the same? before restore your iPhone, you can try the solution of kelley on Yahoo ask & answer:
– Access Settings > Messages > Send & Receive, then deselect all email addresses
– Turn Off iMessages, then go to FaceTime, deselect all email addresses and turn off FaceTime.
– Reboot the device, then Turn On iMessages, ensuring no email addresses are selected, it should then have your mobile number ticked. Do the same for FaceTime.
I have no idea but this worked on him.
# You now may consider to restore your iPhone if that only effected contact is so important. How to restore your iPhone?
